This UI for indicating the user’s weave account (and allowing for fast user switching) makes a strong association between the user’s name and the Firefox brand.  It’s perhaps a little Max Berry’s “Jennifer Government.” However, people are pretty passionate about Firefox, so displaying Jane Firefox or Bob Firefox becomes a more emotional and personalized way of presenting the brand.  This is especially true if the application is customized, in which case it really is my firefox.
